1. Am I able to alter the error pages for my site?
Yes! CPanel includes a facility to alter the error pages for your website.

 

2. Can I password protect certain pages in my website?
Yes - cPanel provides a utility to enable user name / password protection on folders.

 

3. Do I have access to update my site 24 hours a day?
Yes! You can upload files via FTP or using cPanel's own File Manager at any time, day or night.

4. Do you have a web based console, that allows me to manage my hosting?
Yes! This is exactly what cPanel is for.

5. Do you support Microsoft Frontpage?
Yes! Frontpage Extensions are available on all hosting accounts and can be installed via cPanel.

 

6. How easy is it for me to switch my Website over to Axiom Networking Solutions Web Hosting?
Moving from another website host simply requires you to upload your site to our servers and make any necessary configuration changes using cPanel (for email databases etc). It also requires you to change your nameservers to those listed in the welcome email you will receive when you signup with us, this email includes further instructions on this process and we can make this change on your behalf if you would prefer (free of charge).

 

7. How long does it take for you to setup my account?
Accounts are usually setup within 24 hours, most in under 12. We manually screen all new signup's to ensure to inappropriate accounts are setup (such as spammers).

 

8. How long will it take before I can upload my web site?

It will take between 8 and 12  business hours for us to create your web presence. When completed we will email you all the access codes and instructions on how to upload your site. You can then upload your web site. At this point your web site may not be visible to other people on the internet.

 

9.  When will my web site be visible on the internet?

Your web site will become visible to others on the internet in about 12 - 72 hours after the domain name has been registered or delegated to our servers.

 

10. If I join a hosting plan, do I already have to have a domain name?
If you do not already have a domain name, you can register one here.  You can view domain name pricing here.

 

11. What happens if I exceed my allocated bandwidth?
Depending on the option you selected on your application form,  if your bandwidth limit is exceeded EITHER your account will be charged $5 per 500MB used, OR your account will be automatically suspended until a new month begins.  Alternatively, if you find that your needs have changed, you can contact us to upgrade your account.

 

12. What is your policy on SPAM?
We do not tolerate spam at all. Any activities that are deemed by us to be spam will result in immediate suspension of your account.

14. Will my site be able to be accessed without the ‘www’ at the start of the address?
Yes! Unlike some hosts, we do provide access to your site without the initial 'www' prefix.

 

15. Why don't you offer unlimited bandwidth?
Simple, it doesn't exist. Any host claiming 'unlimited bandwidth' is effectively lying and will usually include a clause in there terms and conditions along the lines of "Unlimited Bandwidth within reason". If you are concerned our bandwidth limits will be too small please contact us, we may be able to offer a custom hosting solution.

 

16. Can I have Secure Server Layer (SSL) on my Plan?

Yes!  ALL of our Linux plans have SSL.

 

17. Can my sub-domain(s) have email addresses?

Yes. Create the sub-domain, then go to create the email accounts. Choose the sub-domain from the drop down list.

 

18. Does the server have ImageMagik installed?

Yes

 

19. Would I have Banner Ads or anything that I don't want on my web site?

Absolutely Not. Your web site is yours. We don't add anything to it.

 

20. Do I still need my ISP to access the Internet?
Yes, you do. We host your web site so that everyone in the world with a Internet connection can see your web site. But you still need your own ISP (i.e. Internet Service Provider) to get on to the Internet.  Click here to apply for ADSL or dial-up internet access.
