1. Is AVG reliable?
A. Yes it is in use all around the world, and we use it on all of our own systems.

2. Does AVG update?
A. Yes, regularly over the Internet. You can schedule updates daily. Unlike other antivirus software products that only release updates weekly or monthly AVG updates are available as soon as they are released as soon as a new virus is detected.

3. How long does the license last for?
A. All licenses (unless special editions) will last for a full 2 years.

4. What do I get within those 2 years?
A.  You will entitled to all Virus updates and as long as you are a registered user all program updates (including new editions) and email technical support.

5. Which version of AVG do I need?
A. If you only have one computer to protect then buy a AVG Professional single user.

If you have 2 or more workstations and do not require central updating then you can buy AVG SoHo  for the number of workstations.

If you require central updating and / or need to install AVG on a NT based server along with the workstations then you need AVG Network edition that covers the total number of workstations and servers.

If you have an Email Server which has an official AVG plug-in then you need AVG Mail Server and Gateway edition with a license size matching the number of mailboxes or accounts. (NB you will still require AVG Network Edition for the remaining number of workstations and servers)

If you only want to install AVG on a file server then you need AVG File Server edition with license size matching number of workstations or connections to the server on the network.

6. Is AVG compatible with Microsoft Small Business Server?
A. Yes you will need AVG Mail Server and Gateway edition for Exchange license size the same as the number of mail boxes in Exchange. If you want to also cover the workstations then additionally you will need AVG Network edition equal to the number of workstations.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Once we have received payment, we will ship the License to you by email.   The license code is used to remove the limitations of the trial version. If you have requested a CD version, we will contact you to arrange delivery.  You can begin to use the emailed product right away, and the CD will be shipped to you by Australia Post.  Your CD will be produced and mailed within 24 hours after payment has been received and the funds have cleared.  Shipment by mail can take 3 to 8 business days within Australia.

 

8. Can I receive AVG on CD?
A. Yes, 'CD on Demand' [info] is the option of receiving a CD version of the software products, in addition to the software that you can download directly to your computer.  You can begin to use the downloaded product right away, and the CD will be shipped to you by mail.  Just choose 'AVG with CD on Demand' when completing the order.   
 

9. How do I install the paid AVG version if I was previously using the Trial version?

A. You do not need to install AVG Anti-Virus again. You will replace your 30 day AVG trial license number with your AVG paid license number.

The license number is CASE SENSITIVE, so we recommend that you copy&paste it from the e-mail you received immediately after purchasing AVG. It has to be used with capital letters. Please, do not confuse 1(one) with I(India), 0(zero) with O(Oscar) etc. To use the copy&paste method, please follow these steps:

• highlight the license number (this will change the colour)

• press and hold CTRL and then press the C key (this is the copy function)

• place your cursor where you would like to paste the copied information

• press and hold CTRL and then press the V key (this is the paste function)

• the information will be copied from the previous place to the place you have moved your cursor to.

10.  I changed my registered data. What shall I do?

A.  Any changes in your registered data (email address, name, etc) should be sent to Axiom Networking Solutions.  Please include the following details in your message: full name, email address, any changes to your registered data, and your licence number.

11.  What is the difference between AVG Free Edition and AVG 7.0 Single Professional Edition?

• AVG 7.0 Single Professional supports the scheduling of both AVG updates and scans of the computer

• Many options are supported by AVG 7.0 Single Professional when a scheduled task (update or scan) is missed

• For those with a dial-up connection to the internet, AVG 7.0 Single Professional is able to detect the connection and can be set up to check for updates upon detection of the connection to the internet

• The interface of AVG 7.0 Single Professional provides at-a-glance information about the status of the various components
